Piece de resistance

It has to be counted as a perk of being a fashion blogger when you are exclusively introduced to labels that you might not have encountered till that point. If you have in the past seen or invested in one of the timeless pieces by That's Thefft, then consider yourself darn lucky. When I first saw the lookbook of this particular label, I was in a state of awe since each garment by designer Mihika of That's Thefft is painstakingly hand embellished. The designs are truly modern and chic and definitely for a modern day diva. Having known to be a self confessed embellishment and sequin lover, I decided to pick this 'Ibbie' dress to style since its rich, yet Indian brocade element in a full skater silhouette posed a challenge. The belt created at the beginning of the skirt with chunky red gems and a plain black blouse of the dress both fall in fashionable harmony with the gold brocade. The stiff brocade makes the dress appear grand in all its glory. I decided to give it a raw Indian feel with complementing red and gold jhumkas and a sturdy leather and rose gold Daniel Wellington watch. The 'I-woke-up-like-this-hair' (just kidding, I have to put in a lot of effort to even slightly curl my poker straight hair :/) seemed like the right idea with the combination of the brocade, the jhumkas and the bright red lips. Thats the thing with That's Thefft, each piece is a piece de resistance. You never have to try too hard.
