Styling contests have suddenly emerged as the focal point of my blogging career. No kidding. The DLF Promenade Bloggers Meet which happened a while back definitely added yet another dimension to my styling prowess (just indulging myself a little :D). The Meet was designed keeping in mind that bloggers love to style. Writing is a facet that I personally hold very important to my blog but the common denominator of all fashion blogs definitely would have to be their aptitude to style. With brands like Zara, Aldo, Forever New, Boggi, Sunglass Hut, Charles and Keith, Fab India et al being participants, styling looks was never this fun. I worked with a dancer who turned model for me for the purpose of the meet and the élan with which she carried my styled look, made it quite evident.
I decided to go with a bit of a gamble as I decided to mould Monochrome to make it spunkier and edgier. Wanting to give it an androgynous twist, I used a man's shirt and paired it off with a voluminous maxi skirt by Fab India. The rest as they say worked on my styling instinct of making it a very Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction comes to Delhi, look. Certainly managed to impress the judge, ace designer Suneet Varma as I was the First Runners Up for the styling contest. More pictures to follow with what I wore in the next part.
