A rosy affair

I have maintained for a while now that peplum is a style I personally would wear best in a formal attire. Formal and dressy, maybe. Sure, jersey tops in peplum have infiltrated the racks, but I still have not converted that faith. You would have seen my tryst with dressy peplum here.
Lucky for me, Timsy and Siddhartha of I know studio sent across this absolute stunner of a dress in peplum for me to style. The reasons for which I picked this dress are aplenty, but mostly because of the cute inverted box pleats at the front, the rosy color which according to me is as good for winter as it is for summer and the studded detailing at the waist. Its a number you could style for work as comfortably as you could for a night out in town. Utilitarian fashion isn't really a bad thing. ;)
I decided to play around with this outfit with primarily two key elements: a hat and the shoes. Keeping it minimalist with the accessories, my Zariin ring was an instant pick. The hat was definitely the quirk factor for me considering my love for hats. To add to the glam factor, I decided on my black T-bar heels. There is this absolute sense of effective elegance that a pair of T-bar conveys which in my opinion, is the right addition to this ensemble. Tell me what you think? :)

I know studio is definitely one of those brands where you see the effectiveness of minimalist and uncluttered designing. The designer duo plays around with silhouettes, keeping the styles very upbeat. If this contemporary fashion apparel is your thing, then I would suggest hopping on to their website.
Also find them on Facebook.
