Ritu Kumar's Couture Collection called Falaknuma has charmed anyone who would take a look. The stunning collection inspired by the Mughal era, perfectly accessorised with Nizam jewelery dazzled all the bollywood biggies. The collection which is inspired by Hyderabad and its history comprised of a lot of lehengas and jackets to go with. The work on the outfits included a lot of zari, brocade, silk and a certain work which I like to call the 'coin work'. The jewelery had a lot of statement necklaces and lovely chunky earrings or 'jhumkas' as they are more popularly called. The wedding season in India is at its peak and as my childhood friend's wedding draws near(I really hope I can make it there :( ), I'm thinking ghagra skirts and brocade corsets, well cut. With a maang tikka, of course. Never complete an ethnic outfit without it :)
Dia Mirza and Shabana Azmi dazzle the ramp as the show stoppers. Take a look.
