Non Pink-Red Valentine

Hello you festive lil peeps!
How was Valentines? Tell me all :) I must confess I did try and put up a Oh-my-god-Valentines-is-a-propaganda face for some part of my teenage but its a very simple explanation about the day that made me a believer. I like to just think of it as an excuse. An excuse to be generous with the expression. An expression of love, concern..or simply that you think of somebody..now and again!:) Like I always say, an excuse for more sunshine!
Even though the day was about loved ones, flowers, cakes and gifts for me like it was for most people around the world..I am a little against wearing pink or red for Valentines. Don't get me wrong, most of you out there have very stylishly worn the best pink and red outfits which totally complement you. Its a personal thing. I like to make it a point that when I pick a Valentines day dress, the color should not be the only criteria :)
So when my ASOS package arrived a couple of days back, I instantly knew what I was going to wear for Valentines.
A little bit of sunshine, a blue and yellow color blocked dress with a pussy bow neck and a gorgeous yellow lower half was my pick for Valentines. Golden clutch, black bow peep toes, and my big golden bow in the hair..quite sufficient to add the romance quotient to the outfit. Not enough? Then you should probably see the red lips :) Yes, Body Shop love gloss had me in and I finally mustered up the courage to do the beautiful scarlet glossy lips. Dress-ASOS, clutch: gift from NY, shoes- shoe store in Bangalore, big bow with rhinestones-Forever New, Red Lippie- Body Shop, bow ring- Forever 21.

What did you guys do? Would love to hear of cute little stories, Valentine anecdotes or just what you wore for Valentines :) Also, tell me what you think of the look :)
Spread the Cupid cheer! :) *fat little cherub*
XOXO

Happy Valentines day to you honey :)
I think the look is super cute and I agree with you, the red/pink is a little too much blend with the settings look.. The dress is super hot and I love how you've accessorized it :)
    You're bringing sexy back :)

  4. Your dress is perfect and looks fabulous on you. My OH cooked me supper and we shared a bottle of wine. We always make each other a card and recently I mentioned that I liked small cards. This Valentine's Day I was given a huge envelope containing a card no bigger than a poastage stamp. Needless-to-say I love it, it really made me smile.

  5. OMG!! Am so totally loving that dress!!!! And you've styled your hair nicely too! :)

I had one of the most BORING V-days....was stuck at office till 8 pm......& was SO tired after that, that I didn't even feel like going out anywhere! Though that doesn't matter much as I'm on the "Single & NOT Ready to Mingle" bandwagon right now!! ;)

  7. I didn't have time to dress up :( My boyfreind picked me at the door of the company I work and we went to a early cinema and then sushi. I was wearing just a denim mini skirt and red stripped jersey with red sneakers... At leats it was red!!! We had a good time, laugh a lot and I had some really nice gifts you can find in a post in my blog =)

You look gorgeous btw. It's always delicious to receive a Asos package!!
